We celebrated the arrival of Spring with the first of our monthly sessions in 2018. We had a lovely turnout with all levels of musicians playing. See you on the first Friday of each month in Irish National Foresters on Church St. Tullamore for craic agus ceoil from 9pm.
Beidh fáilte ar gach duine.
After a busy summer period where several of our members competed in the All Ireland Fleadh Cheoil in Ennis, it’s back to business as our classes resume.

KILLEIGH COMHALTAS CHRISTMAS PARTY is on Sunday December 18th, 3-5pm in the Tullamore Court Hotel. Everyone is welcome, little musicians (young & old) of all ages & abilities. We will all play a few tunes together. It’s a great chance for our new members to see & meet our other branch members from the other classes and get an idea what our branch is about. And it’s great fun & all very relaxed! We also have some class musicians in our branch & we’ll get them to strut their stuff! Looking forward to see you all.
Everyone welcome as always!
Congratulations to Drogheda Comhaltas who today received the Leinster nomination to host the All Ireland Fleadh Cheoil in 2018. This means our bid to bring the Fleadh Cheoil back to Tullamore for 2018 was unsuccessful. A huge thank you to our Fleadh Committee who gave up their personal time & worked tirelessly. While we at Killeigh Comhaltas are disappointed, we put together an excellent bid and left no stone unturned. Best of luck to Drogheda as they progress to the next stage.
Killeigh Comhaltas are delighted to announce that we have applied to bring Fleadh Cheoil na hÉireann 2018 back to Tullamore.

The town of Tullamore is involved in the international Entente Florale competition. Tullamore looked fantastic when visited by a group of dignatories from across Europe. Killeigh Comhaltas & friends played some music in O’Connor Square & later in the Tullamore Dew Visitor Centre.
Following the recent Leinster Fleadh, Killeigh Comhaltas will be will well represented at the All Ireland Fleadh Cheoil in Ennis. Our 15-18 Ceili Band came 3rd so won’t be going on to the All-Ireland but we are tremendously proud of them all & their performances. Huge congrats & best wishes to: Clare-Anne
Kearns (O18 Fiddle, O18 fiddle slow airs, O18 button accordion), Roisin O’Connor (U12 fiddle slow airs), Muireann Carton (15-18 Harp Slow Airs), U12 Longridge Ceili Band (& a special mention to Con who travelled from abroad specially to play), Ciaran O’hAolain (12-15 Songs in English). Well done to everyone who took part. Congrats to all the Offaly competitors in Ennis. To take part at that level of competition is a huge achievement.
