The Leinster Council met in early December to vote on their nomination for the All Ireland Fleadh Cheoil 2020. Unfortunately for #Tullamore, we were unsuccessful. Congratulations to Mullingar who were chosen. A huge thank you to our activists who travelled across the province, attending AGMs and who took part on the day the delegates visited Tullamore to view the venues. Sincere thanks to Offaly County Council for their valuable support also.
Killeigh Comhaltas welcomed the Leinster delegates today as part of our bid to bring Fleadh Cheoil na hEireann 2020 to Tullamore. We had a very successful morning and the bid received great support from our Offaly branches, Offaly County Council, Tullamore Chamber of Commerce, Tullamore Rotary, Tullamore D.E.W visitor centre & to The Tullamore Court Hotel for their hospitality. Comhairle Laighean will make their decision on their nomination in December.

Sept 21 2018 was Culture Night & Killeigh Comhaltas played in Chocolate Brown and then Galvins for Men as part of our “Pop Up Trad” events to bring trad music to the streets of Tullamore. We had a super time & thanks to the staff in both venues who gave us a great welcome.
We also entertained some foreign dignitaries who were in #Tullamore for the #EntenteFloral awards ceremonies. We had 12 musicians & a dancer and we were delighted with the welcome we received. On Saturday, we entertained the visitors in the Acres Hall courtyard. It was great fun & we got to sample delicacies from Slovenia & schnapps from Austria.
